We’re closing down our escrow payment service SafeTrader on 3 July 2017.
SafeTrader has been around since November 1999, however very few members still use it and there is no longer a strong need for this service. We now have better products that provide safety when buying or selling items on Trade Me such as Buyer Protection, Ping and Pay Now.
We’re always working hard to improve the experience for our members. To focus on building better products, sometimes we choose to stop providing services that are not highly valued or frequently used by our members so we can focus on those that are. More...

Due to the upcoming Queen's Birthday Weekend, there’ll be a delay in processing payments to your Trade Me account made by phone or internet banking.
If you pay by these methods, payments made after 10:00 pm on Friday 2 June will not be processed until Wednesday 7 June.
